Launched at Gilda’s Club, NYC, in 2017, The MAD Art Workshop offers children and adults instruction in caricature and comic illustration from a true master, cartoonist Sam Viviano.
Best known for his legendary work in MAD Magazine, where he was Art Director for nearly two decades, Sam is gifted teacher with a flair for inspiring his students to relax and allow their natural talent to emerge.
The MAD Art Workshop is provided at no cost to children who have lost a parent to cancer, children with a parent in treatment, and adult cancer survivors. No previous experience is required and all workshop materials are provided.
